MaxiRace Cape Winelands is now an official UTMB World Series Qualifier Event.
This means we are a gateway event for races on the UTMB World Series.
Finishers of the MaxiRace Cape Winelands 75km (100k), 45km (50k), 30k (20k) and 20km (20k) races will now receive the applicable UTMB index for the relevant race distance category.
A Runner's UTMB Index will also give them preferential access to UTMB World Series Events.
In order to qualify for the UTMB Finals (UTMB CCC, OCC) in Chamonix, runners would have to have competed in a UTMB World Series Event.
