Late Entries for the 75k, 45k & 30k will be taken at race registration on an availability basis only at an additional admin fee of R50

Payments can be made with Cash, Bank Card or Snapscan

Yes, there will be entries available on Race Day, but with the following terms and conditions:

• Late entries @ Regsitration for the 75km and 45km will only be available until close of Registration on Friday 27 September,
• All other Later Entries close 60minutes before the start of the Race distance entered,
• There will be a R50 admin fee levied on late entries (this excludes the 5k),
• Late Entries are not guaranteed a Race Shirt and will only be allocated while stocks last.

Our main priorities at MaxiRace are to build our event around the communities we run through and to develop route options that are feasible for us from a logistical and operational point of view.

We recently made the decision to move our 45k and 30k races to Simonsberg due to the growth possibilities in the area as well our perception of what the best possible route will be.

The new venue offers incredible routes (80%+ trails), scenic vista towards Table Mountain and Stellenbosch's surrounds and a true 'Cape Winelands' experience, given that runners will traverse more than 6 prestigious wine farms.

Unfortunately none of the MaxiRace distances allow for pacers

There are specific Aid Stations where Spectators are allowed:

Mont Rochelle Reserve (75k)

Bergriver Dam (75k)

Muratie Wine Farm (45k | 30k)

Jonkershoek Gate (75k)

The Following Aid Stations and Areas are Strictly Off Limits for Supporters and Spectators:

The Following Aid Stations can only be accessed on foot for spectators, no runner support allowed:

Botmaskop

75k - 17 hours (22:00)

45k - 10 hours (18:00)

30k - 6 hours (15:00)

20k - 4 hours (20:00)

10k - 3 hours (20:00)

Due to all the races taking place on one day and the 75k and 45k both finishing late in the day, we can offer shorter distance runners more time to get to the finish.

We want to state that especially the 10k and up aren't walking races. You need a decent level of fitness to complete them and should be able to run the majority of your race.

Runners on the Sundowner runs need to know their own pace and ensure they have a headlamp if they know they will finish in the dark.

The top three positions in the elite category for Ladies and Mens will be announced during prizegiving.

MaxiRace is yet to introduce prize money for podium positions. Although it is a major focus point for us to be able to rewards our podium positions with cash prizes, we are still in the process of growing into a position where we can either do this feasibly within our budget, or obtain a cash sponsor that can contribute to this need.

Yes all finishers receive medals while stocks last!

Should we run out, we will take your details and make sure to order you one in the week after the race!

Yes we will offer camping for the weekend at the school. Bookings cover both nights and is R200 per person for the weekend

There is a wide variety of food and drink on sale

Families are welcome to bring balance bikes and dogs on leashes for their 5k Fun Run!

Yes there are, however, preference will be offered to Campers and Ultra Runners

Laerskool Stellenbosch has limited on site parking, however there is ample parking around the school perimeter.

Please ensure not to park in restricted areas

Entries that are made on EntryNinja without accompanying payment are deleted within 7 days of entry.

To avoid this, entrants must make a partial payment through credit card of EFT. (Coupon payments do not count).
